



New Delhi: India's fiscal deficit in April-May was at Rs 907.58 billion, or 27.3 per cent of the full-year target, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
Tax receipts were at Rs 261.52 billion while expenditure were Rs 1.23 trillion for the first two months of 2009/10 fiscal year.
In February, India's federal government forecast fiscal deficit at Rs 3.33 trillion or 5.5 per cent of gross domestic product for 2009/10.
