Mumbai: The Bombay High Court is likely to pronounce the judgement in RIL-RNRL gas supply agreement dispute on June 15, court sources said on Friday.
Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd and Anil Ambani's Reliance Natural Resources Ltd (RNRL) have fought a marathon legal battle over the disputed agreement in the last two years.
By this 'gas supply master agreement' (GSMA), RIL was supposed to supply natural gas from Krishna Godavari basin to RNRL, to be used for Anil Ambani group's power generation plant at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.
GSMA came into existence in January 2006, following demerger of Reliance group.
But it soon became a major bone of contention, as both sides differed on its terms related to quantity of gas to be supplied, price, and duration of supply.
A single judge of the High Court first heard the case, and asked both parties to renegotiate the agreement. But it did not happen, and both sides filed appeals before division bench.
Division bench of Justices J N Patel and K K Tated are likely to pronounce the judgement in their chamber on June 15, the court sources said.
