Akshay Kumar unveils Special Chabbis music

Akshay Kumar, who stars in Neeraj Pandey’s Special Chabbis alongside Anupam Kher, launched the soundtrack of the film at the quaint Regal Cinema in South Mumbai last week. Composed by MM Kreem, the album is by T-Series and features a group of popular music names such as KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Keerti Sagathia, Papon and Bappi Lahiri.

Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said, “The music of Special Chabbis is very promising. M.M Kreem has managed to amalgamate an assorted mix of songs, The bonus to the album is Akshay Kumar’s track, which we are sure will garner a lot of attention.”

Akshay also showcased his singing prowess at the launch as he gave a live performance of Mujhe mein tu, a ballad from the movie.


Musicians in zombie land

Those present at the music launch of Luke Kenny’s Rise Of The Zombie (ROTZ) were left spellbound with the live music. An independent music initiative, the rights of the songs in ROTZ are with the singers and composers. A first of its kind, it could spearhead a movement where composers will hold the publishing rights of their songs in the film industry. Musicians Arafaaz and Anurag opened up the event with a live performance of a song composed by Ankur Tiwari; singer Caralisa Monterio followed it up with her popular track Phir dekhiye (in Rock On) and a composition Alone from ROTZ. The event also featured performances which featured performances by singers Aditi Singh Sharma and Suraj Jaggan (of 3 Idiots fame) and introduced Boomerang,
