Ahead of visit, Rahul Gandhi sends his team to Valley

Prior to his visit to the Valley on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi has quietly sent a team, led by a close confidante, to Kashmir that will meet panchs and sarpanchs and submit a confidential report to the Congress general secretary about the ground realities in the state.
The team has already identified the panchs and sarpanchs they will meet while preparing the report.
Party officials said Rahul will be visiting J&K’s summer capital to inaugurate a tunnel connecting Zoji La and Sonmarg and attend a meeting of state general secretaries of the Youth Congress.
Rahul will meet some panchs and sarpanchs in Srinagar, and, as per sources, there’s a possibility he will meet family members of the panchayat members killed.
Rahul has already met members of the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference in Delhi.
