Ahead of the institute’s 18th convocation on Friday, its governing council met but failed to arrive at a decision. “The governing council met today, but we are yet undecided on a fee hike. We will meet again next month to take a decision regarding the same,” said the institute’s director Nagesh Rao on the sidelines of the convocation.

Rao said the governing council meeting also discussed a new specialisation course that will be introduced from the next year. “We will be starting a post-graduation diploma programme in digital communication management next year. It will be a one-of-its kind programme offered by any management school in India. We are looking at a batch of 161 students,” he said.

Around 161 students graduated at the convocation where the chief guest was Nitin Paranjpe, CEO & MD of Hindustan Unilever Ltd.
