Mumbai FC will hope to get their campaign back on a sure footing after being jolted by two back-to-back home defeats. The side hosts Mohun Bagan in an I-League round seven clash at the Balewadi sports complex on Saturday.
Mumbai FC currently occupy the seventh spot in the league table courtesy of their six points. Mohun Bagan sits just two places below the side from Mumbai in the standings with only one point separating them. We will be cautious as (Mohun) Bagan are a strong side. Likewise, we are hoping to rectify the mistakes committed in the last two matches particularly in the second half.” he said.
The hosts will be missing the services of talismanic defender Haroon Amiri. The Afghan-international was sent off late in the previous match against Shillong Lajong after coming on as a second half substitute and serves a one-game suspension.
Right-back Valeriano Rebello will miss his second match in a row as he is still nursing an ankle injury that he picked up in a pre-match practice session during the last round.
