AAP men not involved in constable death, says Kejriwal
“Delhi Police, in its submissions to court, said none of the eight people charged with the death of the constable were present on the spot where he collapsed. They were picked up from different places and none of them were involved in any acts of arson. This shows that Delhi Police is not only abusing its powers to steamroll the movement but also trying to frame innocent people. The pitch is that General V K Singh, Ramdev and members of AAP are responsible for the violence over the last few days. Police is trying to misguide media and the public with lies,” Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal and AAP leader Manish Sisodia expressed grief at Tomar’s death. They said the person responsible for the constable’s death should be given maximum punishment, innocents should not be framed in a “cover up” for police brutalities.
In a statement, AAP denied that Sisodia had paid for the bail of any accused arrested for the death of the constable. AAP members were present in court and Sisodia gave a statement, the release said.
