Aadhaar card enrollment at Burail Jail launched

The Central Bank of India on Saturday launched a campaign for enrollment of the inmates of Burail Jail for the Aadhaar card facility.
Chandigarh zonal manager K K Taneja said that the bank has also been a pioneer in the launching of Aadhar Enabled Direct Cash Transfer of benefits by the Government of India in Ambala district.
Taneja said that the bank has enrolled 9,77,823 people till January 30 for Aadhaar cards, and will try to take this facility to all citizens of India.
“This campaign, started at Burail Jail is unique and an essential step towards making Aadhaar Card available to every individual,” he added.
