Chennai, Feb 5: Warner Bros Motion Picture Imaging (MPI) has signed agreements with Prime Focus and Prasad EFX, the two top film post-production companies in the country. The agreements are expected to help the companies manage their workflows more efficiently and also offer more global opportunities to the Indian players.
While Prime Focus announced its tie up on Tuesday, Prasad made the announcement public last December.
Chuck Dages, executive vice-president, Warner Bros Home Entertainment Group, said, “In addition to bringing our combined skills to each other's projects, the time difference between the two companies (MPI and Prasad) will allow us to work on projects twenty four hours a day. Working with Prime Focus not only gives Motion Picture Imaging a global footprint, it allows both our companies to provide our clients, wherever they are working, with convenient facilities, expanded capacity and the complete range of digital services for their films."
The agreements are expected to provide access to MPI's clients as well. Sai Prasad, Prasad Corporation Ltd, said, the strategic alliance with Warner Bros. will enable the company to add considerable value to both Indian and International projects and most importantly, Hollywood projects.
Namit Malhotra, managing director, Prime Focus, said, “As part of our global agenda of providing high-end digital creative services to clients around the world, this alliance with Warner Bros allows us to extend our pipeline across continents and various verticals within our business.”
