: Dr Farooq Abdullah, President, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association on Tuesday was upset that the Services team had withdrawn from the Ranji Trophy despite being assured of their security. Excerpts:

What I hear is that they have been advised not to come and we have to investigate that who gave them this suggestion. When everyone else is here including guest players and umpires, how is it that they can’t come? It completely negates what Prime Minister, Home Minister and Defence Minister says. I am going to take this very seriously with the GOI and tell the PM and Defence Minister that this will not do.
