Hyderabad, Oct 7 : German-based Taros Chemicals has entered the Indian market through its subsidiary, Mithros Chemicals Pvt Ltd, an established provider of outsourcing services to the European and American pharma industry.

With about 50 employees, the organisational structure of Mithros is identical to that of Taros, ensuring similar management policies and competencies and the laboratory is situated in the Genome Valley of Hyderabad, a state-of-the-art biotech park, having the added advantage of fast accessibility to technical data and analytical instruments.

The company, however, did not divulge any details when contacted about the investment details. Custom synthesis projects outsourced to Mithros offer clients tremendous savings, said a release. The primary advantage is of course the one-stop shopping experience through Taros, Germany. Requests are processed from start to finish by Taros' management team, ensuring stringent quality control measures and the highest standards.

Mithros claims to specialise in custom synthesis of reference compounds, combinatorial chemistry, building blocks, starting materials, synthesis of active substance intermediates and capacity extensions and process development.
