Cavelossim Beach, Goa, Apr 4: With an unusual name, Strawberry Frog, a leading global advertising agency headquartered in New York, is planning to foray into the Indian advertising industry in 2009. The agency has major presence in Brazil, New York and Amsterdam.
In an exclusive interview with FE, Scott Goodson, founder CEO of Strawberry Frog, said his agency is planning to recruit Indian advertising professionals to run his new agency in India. "In fact, I want to make India the hub for our operations in Asia." Automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra has recently appointed Strawberry to design a communication strategy for its foray into the US markets for SUVs.
"We won this account amidst stiff competition two months ago. Last month, we have started working on Mahindra's ad account," said Goodson.
For its new Indian advertiser, Goodman has developed a ‘cultural movement’ model in the US. "Before creating the communications, we look at the cultural movement in the target markets, After studying the `cultural connections,' we develop our brand idea for our clients," he explained.
Recognising the growing significance of internet marketing, Goodman strongly recommends this mode of marketing to clients across the globe.
