New Delhi: The government is expected to come out with a road map on disinvestment in public sector units the next three weeks, finance secretary Ashok Chawla said on Wednesday but stressed that there will be no strategic sales.

“The government’s position is clear that there will be divestment of shareholding in listed and other public sector entities and that there will be no strategic sale. The government will retain 51% stake but the roadmap for disinvestment in terms of actual companies ... who will go when and what percentage is being worked out. We are in discussion with the concerned ministries,” he said at a post Budget conference by CII.
