Religare Aegon hires Vetri Subramaniam as equity head

India's Religare Aegon Asset Management has appointed Vetri Subramaniam as head of equity for its soon to be launched mutual fund operations, the firm said in a statement on Monday.

Subramaniam earlier worked with Motilal Oswal Securities as chief investment officer.

Religare Aegon, an equal joint venture between Dutch insurer Aegon and financial services firm Religare Enterprises, has got in-principal approval from India's market regulator and is looking to launch fund operations by October.

The fund hired its head of fixed income, Ashish Nigam, in April from DBS Cholamandalam Asset Management.
