With the falling number of SMSs and audience interest, reality shows no more rule the idiot box, say experts.

“The viewers have now become more discerning and choosy as the number of reality shows is increasing by the day. With exception to some programmes, the viewer's interest has declined. Number of SMSs is falling and TRPs (TelevisionRating Programme) are stagnant. But people still like to see programmes which is real and different”, says Ashish Paul, V-P, Communication, Essel Group.

Actor Ronit Roy of Kasauti Zindagi Ki fame, says that number of SMSs of the reality shows is falling as every channel is launching the programme on the same pattern and concept.
