Rajeev Chandrasekhar to take over as Ficci president

New Delhi:: Founder of BPL Mobile and chairman and CEO of financial firm Jupiter Capital Rajeev Chandrasekhar has been elected as the president of industry body Ficci for 2008. Chandrasekhar, who is also a member of Rajya Sabha, will take over from Wockhardt chief Habil Khorakiwala at the next Annual Session of the chamber in coming weeks, a Ficci release said. He has been chosen to lead the industry body following senior vice-president N Srinivasan of India Cement opting out of the election for personal reasons. Chandrasekhar also has controlling stake in regional television Asianet and media company Indigo.
