Chandigarh, Aug 28: Punjab minister for industries and commerce, Manronjan Kalia has written a letter to Ratan Tata, chairman of Tata Motors Limited and has invited him to set up a plant in Punjab for producing its small car Nano.

The invitation has been sent in the wake of ongoing land dispute in Singur plant in West Bengal and Tata Motors is on look out for a state which could provide congenial environment to industry.

Highlighting the various facilities in the state the minister has said that Punjab is emerging as one of the best investment destinations. He also expected mutual co-operation from Tata Motors.
