New Delhi, Mar 7 Pivotal Resources, a $20-billion US-based corporate consultancy and training firm, has launched its India operations. Pivotal Resources India will begin with an office in New Delhi and later expand to Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.
“The services side of the Indian Economy gives us a lot of opportunity to translate some very effective concepts into something that will make Companies more profitable,” said Pete Pande, founder and president, Pivotal Resources. Pande sees a lot of opportunity for change management in the country with the Indian Economy registering a high growth rate.
With Companies like HP, Hero Honda, Microsoft, Hindustan Times, Maruti already on its client list, the company will provide executive training, deployment-consulting services in business improvement along with Six Sigma training.
According to Sachin Grover, co-founders and director-marketing, Pivotal Resources India they have struck a technical tie-up with Pivotal Resources global. "We are expecting to acquire a client base of 30-35 clients by the year end and are targeting revenues of $500 thousand by end of this year," he adds.
Pivotal Resources was founded by Pande in 1993. Its global clientele includes names like GE Capital, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems etc. Saying that growing economic strength for India means opportunity for everybody, he also lists the hazards of growing too fast. “There could be lack of discipline and high levels of inefficiency in such Companies. They need regular assessment of where they are going along with the admission that high trajectory growth may not continue forever,” he says.
Pande is also the author of The Six Sigma Way -- one of the most influential business books of the past 20 years according to Forbes.
