Indian Oil Corporation's 350-km crude oil pipeline from Paradip to Haldia would be operational in three to four weeks, IOC chairman Sarthak Behuria said.
"The pipeline will become operational in three to four weeks time," Behuria told reporters on the sidelines of a programme at IIM Kolkata.
The cost of the pipeline, 330 km onshore and 20 km offshore, was around Rs 1,178 crore.
Crude from vessels would be stored in Paradip and pumped through the pipeline to Haldia.
IOC constructed the pipeline as the present system of receiving crude oil at Haldia resulted in high cost of transportation, which was affecting the margin of the refinery, company sources said.
