New Delhi, December 6: A consortium, which includes realty firm Omaxe Ltd and GVK Power & Infrastructure Ltd, will bid for the Ganga expressway project of Uttar Pradesh government, a senior company official said.
"We are bidding for Ganga Expressway in UP along with GVK," Omaxe Chairman and Managing Director Rohtas Goel said.
The eight-lane, Rs 400 billion Ganga expressway, to be constructed on the banks of river Ganga to connect eastern and western UP, aims to reduce travelling time and cost, the UP government website said.
Shares of Omaxe were up 14.2 per cent at Rs 490.75 and shares of GVK were up 0.5 per cent at Rs 796 in the Mumbai market.
