New Delhi, Oct 2: The final nod from the US Senate on the N-deal brought about cheer, with the US ambassador to India David Mulford calling it a great day for both the democracies. Responding to media queries on the changes being made in the text of the deal in the Senate, Mulford said the 123 Agreement has been preserved and no amendment has been made to the content of the agreement. The envoy said the deal was not made in commercial interests of the US, but to support India in becoming a global power and strengthen the non-proliferation regime.
