VIP invites pitch for creative account
VIP Bags has called for a pitch next month for its creative duties for the brands under the VIP umbrella, including Coupe, Nuovo and Aristrocrat. The account size is estimated at Rs 23 crore. Lowe is the incumbent agency and is not part of the pitch. According to media reports, five agencies are pitching for the business, including Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi and BBH. Lowe is the current agency for VIP.
ADK Fortune wins Yamaha’s creative a/c
ADK Fortune, the joint venture between JWT and Japanese advertising agency, ADK wins the creative duties for Yamaha Motors. GroupM’s Mindshare will handle the media duties. The five agencies that participated in the pitch include—ADK Fortune, Hakuhodo Percept, Dentsu Communications, Bates 141 and Grey Worldwide. While Dentsu Communications handled the creative duties, Dentsu Media took care of the media duties earlier.
Zee School & Kidzee hire Palasa for creative duties
Zee Interactive Learning’s Zee School and Kidzee, which are part of The Essel Group have appointed Palasa Creative House as their creative partner after launching a multi-agency pitch. The account size, according to industry reports, is pegged at Rs 11 crore. Palasa will handle both verticals—Zee School and Kidzee. The incumbent on the businesses was Ignitee India. Founded in 2004, Mumbai based agency Palasa Creative House's client portfolio includes Medispa, Star Pravah, Circle, Sykz gym among others. .

Vijay Jacob joins Grey India for a second stint
After a stint with Bates 141 as vice-president and head of south, Chennai, Vijay Jacob is set for his second stint with Grey India, as vice-president and head, south, Bengaluru. He started in 1995 as marketing and sales personnel for Eveready Industries and then moved to Bazee.com (now eBay). He will take charge of Grey’s brands—Britannia, ITC, UB, Wockhardt Hospital, Kirtilal Jewellers, among others.Jacob has worked with Fountainhead, Mudra Communications, Grey Worldwide, among others.
Bates 141 appoints Shubhabrata Sarkar
Bates 141 has appointed Shubhabrata Sarkar as CEO for its Indonesia agency. He has worked on brands HSBC, Ford, Unilever, Shell, Mazda, Nokia, Hero Honda, Extra Joss etc. He comes from JWT Indonesia, where he was general manager. Sarkar joined JWT in 2006 as strategic planning director. He worked at Result-McCann India as national creative director before joining JWT. He started his advertising career with Ogilvy & Mather.
