Mumbai, December 4:: UBS Warburg on Wednesday announced the appointment of Manisha Girotra as chairperson of UBS Warburg India. In a press statement, UBS Warburg said that Ms Girotra will be responsible for all investment banking activities of the group in India.
"UBS Warburg has strong investment banking and securities operations in India and Manisha’s appointment will further strengthen our position to take advantage of the increasing opportunities and help us better service our global clients in India", said UBS Warburg’s joint head of Corporate Finance Asia, Mark Dowie.
Ms Girotra has over 12 years of experience in investment banking, the last five years of which have been with UBS Warburg.
Key transactions on which Ms Girotra worked include the privatisation of the Indian Petrochemicals Corporation, Tata-SIA’s bid for Air India, Scottish & Newcastle’s investment in the UB group, the Reliance tender bond buy-back and the sale of Concor and Gail.
