London: After Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson and sister La Toya, it is now his brothers Tito and Jermaine who are screaming murder with Michael’s personal physician Conrad Murray on top of the suspect list.
The brothers of the ‘Thriller’ legend said that he would have been alive if Murray had called for help immediately after realising that the pop star was having a cardiac arrest, reported the Sun online.
“The first time I met Dr Murray was at the hospital. I didn’t feel good when I saw him. A doctor is supposed to keep someone healthy, but Michael went from good health to death in the space of one day,” said Jermaine.
The doctor who had earlier been given the clean chit by the Los Angeles police department, is now again on the radar as the police have started a fresh investigation into his role in the death.
“I believe if he had immediately called for help we might still have my brother here today he would definitely still be alive. I think he is a suspect,” said Tito.
Meanwhile Murray, who was getting paid 100,000 pounds a month by the star, has denied any role in the death of Jackson adding that he was being made a “scapegoat”, reported Mirror online.
“I did not give Michael anything that should have led to his death. I do not know anything more than anyone else about what killed Michael, but it wasn’t me.
“The pressure on me is tremendous but I simply do not know how Michael died,” said the physician who had been interrogated twice by the LAPD after the death of Jackson on June 25 after a suspected cardiac arrest.
Tito, who performed with Michael in the Jackson 5, said he found it strange that the doctor tried to revive Jackson on an unsuitable soft bed as opposed to lying him down on a hard flat surface as is required. “That’s one of the things I noticed that was very strange and odd,” he said.
