: The flood in Bihar has left millions of people homeless. According to government sources, more than 2000 people have lost their life so far. But we can prevent such disasters from happening in the future. During the NDA government, then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has proposed a plan to interlink all the rivers in our country. After the Bihar tragedy, we need to revisit that plan. Interlinking rivers can help solve the problem of floods. Whenever the water level rises in one river, the excess can immediately be transferred to the other rivers. This will also help the states that are struggling due to scare water supply.
