The Samajwadi Party on Sunday, reaffirmed its commitment to support the ‘secular’ government at Centre, as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is all set to talk nuclear deal with US President George Bush at the sidelines of the G-8 summit in Japan. Singh is leavsng for Japan to attend the two-day summit on Monday morning.
The Left parties, on the other hand, had asked the government a confirmation on whether it is taking the step on the Indo-US nuclear deal by going to the IAEA board of governors. “We have given the government time till Monday. We hope they will give us a reply. Otherwise we will meet here (in Delhi) on Tuesday and decide the future course of actions,” senior Left leader D Raja told FE.
