Kolkata: The Rs 2,000-crore Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport modernisation project could see an escalation in cost, taking into consideration the condition of the market.
SPS Bakshi, executive director (projects), Airports Authority of India (AAI), said: “Over-all project cost might go up by 7-8% if input prices escalate.” Bakshi was speaking at an interactive session organised by the Bharat Chamber of Commerce here on Friday.
He said the project is likely to be completed by 2010, going by a 30-month scheduled time frame. AAI has already approved consultants for the project that include RMJM of Hong Kong and Aeroport du Paris Internationale.
