Monday , May 12, 2008 at 1137 hrs Jamshedpur utility and services company (JUSCO), a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Steel, has been awarded with global water award 2008 in London.
A JUSCO press release in Jamshedpur on Monday said it was nominated under "Water company of the Year" category along with three other international water giants namely Veolia water, Beijing capital and Ch2m hill.
Jusco was the first and the only Indian water company to have received the certification of "one of the most effective water service providers on the Indian sub-continent" during the Global Water Intelligence (GWI) function.
