Indian shoppers to beat US counterparts in e-shopping

The $12-billion Indian retail industry is all set to overtake the US retail growth in influencing online consumers’ purchasing decisions for best deals in mobile phones, consumer electronics, laptops, apparel, spas, furnishings, via target marketing companies, according to industry experts.

“While in the US, the growth in influencing consumers’ purchasing decisions is 60%, India is expected to witness about 120% growth in influencing consumers’ purchase decisions online, next year. This is because, this sector is expected to witness new emerging trends, this year, Vaibhav Tewari, chief executive officer, Open2save told FE. Currently, in India, target marketing companies influencing consumers purchasing decisions is growing at the rate of 25%.
