New Delhi, Oct 7 : India Inc congratulated the Tatas for finally finding a home for Nano in investment-friendly Gujarat.

Chandrajit Banerjee, director-general, CII said, “CII is working closely with the government of Gujarat to promote further industralisation of the state through the “Vibrant Gujarat” initiative, by highlighting the superior infrastructure, industrial climate and efficient governance in the state”.

He added Gujarat is one of the most investor-friendly states with an impeccable record of industrial relations.

According to Assocham, Gujarat will be the gainer out of it as Tatas have decided to manufacture people’s friendly car from a state whose contribution to the national freedom movement is perhaps larger than West Bengal.

Assocham president Sajjan Jindal said, “Tatas have indeed found the most investment-friendly state of Gujarat to produce Nano out of it”.

Ficci strongly feels that Nano will come out at the earliest and meet the global expectations of a resurgent India with a world class product and a world class brand from the highly ethical and innovative House of Tatas. Ficci said, “We see a new atmosphere in the country where the chief minister of sates, across political parties, have begun to exhibit healthy competition to attract major investments into their state to provide growth and employment to their people.”

It added, “Three such states were competiting neck and neck to attract the major and globally significant investment from the Tatas. The Tatas accepted Narendra Modi’s offer based on the fact that land was available without any possibility of a dispute and supported by strong infrastructure, an auto hub with the General Motors in the state, and also the long-term attraction of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor passing through Gujarat with a 600 Sq km of industrial hub on the Corridor.”
