: The current trends are toward honeymoon and pilgrim tourism segments and most of the state tourism organisations are now keen on tapping these segments. Tourists are also visiting Arunachal, Mizoram and Meghalaya, which offer unique eco-tourism holidays. As adventure tourism destinations, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and J&K will be attracting the youth segment that wants activity oriented tourism. For rural tourism experience, Punjab, Orissa and Haryana will be major places offering packages for niche segments. However, cruise tourism will be very popular with the domestic tourists. When it comes to outbound tourism, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Turkey, Spain and Austria have fired the imagination of Indians.
