IPL Mohali all geared up to promote team

Chandigarh, Apr 1 : The holders of the Kings XI Punjab—Team Mohali of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have started chalking out the detailed strategy to prop up their team in the northern region. In a bid to popularise the team, it has been decided to add the "local flavour" to the marketing strategy. Local college and university students will be roped in to campaign for the team.

Talking to FE, industrialist Mohit Burman, Dabur India Ltd, one of the stake holders in the franchise said, "Nearly Rs 1 crore will be put in to promote the Kings XI Punjab in this region which includes Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal. T-shirts carrying the logo of the team will be distributed among them. Besides holding various local events, colourful promos will be run."
