05-02-2008 : IDS Softwares Pvt. Ltd.(IDS), a global leader providing integrated IT solutions for the hospitality industry, has announced its entry into the West African market with its first order win from The New Coco Beach Resort located in Ghana, on the Atlantic Coast of West Africa.

The New Coco Beach Resort located on the beachfront of the capital Accra, not far from the industrial port city of Tema, was seeking a solution that would integrate all operations for their 75-room property. It is owned by an equal partnership of Ghanaian, English and Dutch concerns. The IDS solution selected for the Resort’s requirement is Fortune Express – a cost effective and Integrated Property Management system for mid segment hotels, designed to increase productivity, revenues and customer satisfaction. The solution enables flexible functionality, stability in operations and scalability in business.

IDS Softwares has tied up with KOIOS International, a local IT enterprise, as the sales and technical support partner for the Ghana market. The company’s Global Support Center at Bangalore, India, will offer second line support to its customers/partner 24x7x365, while the R&D centre will design and develop products and solutions.

Mr. Naveed Ali, General Manager, New Coco Beach Resort, Accra, Ghana said that “It is vital for management to have the ability and the flexibility to generate reports of various requirements and Fortune express has the potential to do this as well as being very user friendly. The system integrates all the departments and as it is networked all records will be concise and will be coordinated to provide real time information for accounting purposes and quick reviews”

“This milestone comes at a time when West Africa has been recognized by the US as an emerging market with great potential for tourism and commercial ventures. Winning this order is an important landmark and we look forward to greater business opportunities from this region,” Rajesh Yadav, General Manager, Sales, IDS Softwares, said.

“I feel it’s just a start and we would very soon capture the hotel industry in West Africa” said Mr. Girish Gurbani, Director, KOIOS International, Accra, Ghana.
