ICC to set up skill development centre in West Bengal

Kolkata, Jul 30: A high-level team of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, led by its president Sanjay Budhia, met West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee here on Wednesday and discussed how the chamber could partner several developmental initiatives of the state government in the near future.

The chamber intends to set up a centre of excellence for skill development in Bengal to provide necessary vocational training & soft skills to employable youth with an aim to address the demand-supply mismatch for skilled professionals in the industry, according to a release issued by the chamber. The ICC has requested Bhattacharjee for space in and around Kolkata for setting up the proposed centre.

Bhattacharjee has suggested that the ICC must set up four/five such centres across the state, adding that the first one outside Kolkata could be set up at Raghunathpur in Purulia district. These centres would contribute towards district-specific employment generation in Bengal, the chief minister felt. Bhattacharjee also welcomed ICC's proposal to set up an independent, full-fledged cell for intellectual property rights (IPRs). The proposed cell will create awareness and develop a culture for protection and management of IPRs in Bengal, the release said.

Besides Budhia, the delegation comprised senior vice-president V Saran, vice-president Jayanta Roy and secretary general Dr Rajeev Singh.

ToMr, Buddhadev BhatacharyaDear Chief Minister,I am a resident of Calcutta. I would like to suggest you that the Lady M will destroy everything. I think She is mad, abnormal ,diseased person with no brain..Till now whatever she planned she is being successful. You and your party’s decision fueling her success.. I think first of all you agree that you are meeting her demand to returnthe 400 acre which is actually I heard is 305 acre. Your announcement will immedistelystop the agitation at Singur. , Atlest factory work will run smoothly, 2ndly, assured Ratan Tata that you are not loosing a single inch of land, 3rdly ask your officials to make the list ofland owner who actually get back their land. 4thly, Fix a time period of 30 -45 days thatthe land owner return their compensation within the time limit. 5thly , announce that those who are getting back their land will immediately terminated from the job at Nano which wasgiven them as compensation, And in future they or their kin cant get any job at the factory.Order your officials to became cool during all the operations. I think your 50% problem willSolve like this . 6thly, When landowner get back the land go directly to them to buy backThe land with lucrative offers of good value of their land and also job at the Nano . You Must be ready for her next drama whenever you agree with her demand. Also Invites suggestion from the public to solve the problem..
