» Indian Railways Platform Pathetic Condition
Posted by Gabdu on 2009-07-06 16:14:09.63041+05:30
Dear Ms Mamta Banerjee,It's good to see your raiway budget and also appreciate your concern for making atleast 50 new stations as World Class raiway stations during (09-10). However if you notice at the platforms condition including Platform shelter , the condition is really pathetic.Of about 50 proposed stations for upgradation , let me tell you that all sheletrs leak during rainy days . First of all Indian Raiways should ban using asbestos roofing sheet in platforms as Asbestos has been banned in EU , America and in developed countries due to it's carcinogic properties. Moreover the metal roofing stations are also leaking due to rusting problem in metal sheet and that gives a shaby look to platform. Moreover drinking water should be catered to passengers after filtering it from industrial RO system. If you sit on a chair below shelter than you never know when a pigeon will spit a beat on you as pigeons have make their nest on the rafters. You should improve asthetics.

Subject: Sudipta Ghosh OF B ChairmanDear Sir, I would bring to your notice after seeing the net that Sudipta Ghosh ( Chairman Ordnance Factory Board) is also involved in procuring Plastic tubes used for the manufacture of 12 Bore cartridge by Ammunition Factory Kirkee in which he has put pressure on the GM to buy the said tubes from single source whose name is Bi oriented Plastic Tube situated in Mumbai ( tel 24458077) who sold plastic tubes worth Rs3.00 lacs for 50 lacs which may be verified and they did not posess any manufacturing licence from MHA. as the same falls under arms and ammunition part. Please verify the truth will prevail. The present Global Tender is Floated for procurement of plastic tubes but nothing is moving as our Chairman is not in place and the firm Bi Oriented Plastic tube is in no position to influence but still the present GM is also under pressure and not sending the inquiry to the compititor who posseses Import Licence to supply Plastic Tubes used for 12

It is observed that E-ticket facility is only given to senior citizen not to others. If certificate attachment is provided for other handicapped then it will be better as for handicap it is compulsary to take the tickets manually. When for senior citizen they dont check the age so why for handicapped they want to submit the forms personally.

» Scope for new areas of development

I congratulate the Ms Mamta Baneerji, Union Railway Minister for presenting her first Budget which according to me real developmental budget without touching extra buden on the commuters or on fright charges. Ms Baneerji has also widended new areas of development such as medical colleges etc. Here, I would also appeal her to think of unutilised million of acres of land around railway tracks in the country. I suggest to make use of growing renewable energy plantation such as Jatropha on both the side of the railway tracks and by forming self-help groups/cooperative society of surroung locals living below poverty line. This will not only provide employment to millions of rural/urban people but in long run it will make the railway self-sufficient in energy. Once this plant grows, it last for about 30-40 yrs. Only three yr. is the gestetation period for which self help group is required and subsequently plunking of fruits and handing to market yard. Thirly, this will also help in global warming/ environment as this plant absorbs cent percent co2 and gives 100% oxigen. Besides, during the course of processing, it will provide many value additions which may not only generate the income of the poor but helps to many young youth in their employment generation. I look forward that you will consult some experts for this new entreprise in the railway lands. We also look forward to see many more developmental budget in future. With warm respect,(K.L.Nalwaya)

» Jain Food is a big farce

Mere Kiritbhai : What is so special about Jain Food? Milk is full of cow blood, it not vegetarian; onion, garlic are proven beyond doubt as good for health and still they are banned in JF. Walk with time, man, or you would not have all those buyers of stolen goods as Jain Marwadis, just to name a few about what it makes you in to. What about fixing time for it, too? Just before sunset, is it not? If taamasi tatv is to be taken in to account here, what of binge boozing en masse by Jains in all restaurants and bars? Or do you need statistics?

» Mamta's W.Bengal Election Rly Budget-2009.

Congratulaions for Mamatas Railway Budget.Since W.Bengal'sstate assembly elections are approaching she took care of her state. However security in rail journeys needs to be addressed. Oflate passengers looting is quite happening and passengers feeling insecurity. The state which sent maximumM.P's for ruling party has been neglected since its representatives are voice less. I some times observe in first class bogies cockroaches which needs to be taken care. Also rail employee welfare needs to be addressed. Also accidents avoidence and rail safety must be addressed to.

i congratulate Mamata for her budget. i would advice her to see that all the deserving railway stations get it's due for improvement of facilities. all the stations that give big amount of fares and freight should be taken care of without any political bias.a transparent system will help the railways and thereby india.i would request her to make JAIN foods available in railways as a large no. of jain people r regularly travel via railways. her constituency is having a large no. of JAIN community and so she must be aware of this requirement. In Mamata we see a truly inspirational, hard working leader. INDIA needs many more Mamatas.
