New Delhi,Mar 16: GMR Sports, owners of Delhi Daredevils, Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team of national capital announced Hero Honda as their team’s official sponsor for the upcoming DLF IPL 20:20 cricket tournament.
Kingfisher will be the associate sponsor of the team while Adidas will be responsible for designing the apparel of the Delhi team .GMR Sports has roped in Leo Burnett for the promotional campaign of Delhi Daredevils.
“The sponsors were finalized about four days back, after the final auction.” said Yogesh Shetty, CEO, GMR Sports. The company is likely to announce a brand ambassador in near future which will add entertainment flavour to the game.
Pawan Munjal, CEO, Hero Honda Motors Ltd, said, “This team sponsorship further strengthens our association with IPL’s Twenty20 Championship, as we have already come on board as one of the partners of IPL. Hero Honda has been associated with the game for more than two decades now. Sports and entertainment remain important vehicles to reach our customers.”
