Chennai: The Second International Scientific and Business Congress titled ‘Localisation on Environmental Business and Supply Base in India’ along with the International Green Business Fair is scheduled to be held on February 3 and 4, 2009 in New Delhi.
Organised by the EuroAkadem-Academy for European Management, the practical goal of the Second Congress is “further development and transfer of clean technologies, as well as the creation of a localisation programme in India with the emphasis on private business and education with subsequent strategy transfer to other developing countries’’, says a release from the Germany-based Academy.
“The Second Congress will be unique in that it will seek to establish a framework to combine the contributions of business, technology, science and government in seeking opportunities for effective policies and investments in the context of current Indian economic conditions’’, the release said.
Such an action plan would also provide the important and very timely opportunity to replace the traditional energy resources by the clean ones produced in the developing countries.
The initiative and the aims of the Second Congress in India are strongly supported by German Renewable Energy Federation, GTZ- (the federally owned International co-operation enterprise for sustainable development), etc.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany is supporting the Congress in India by becoming a Strategic Partner and a Sponsor. The first Congress was held in Germany. The second Congress has been added to the COP15 (United Nations Climate Change Conference, Copenhagen 2009)-Calendar. The results of the Second Congress will be given to decision makers at COP15.
