Kolkata, Feb 23: Far East Organisation is planning to establish a Fullerton hotel in Kolkata soon.
The 150-200-room luxury hotel is likely to come up in a heritage building on Ho Chi Minh Sarani, earlier known as Harrington Street, in the poshest part of the city. The property would be developed in partnership with a non-resident Indian from Kolkata, said Kuah.
Kuah added that the deal was yet to be finalised and talks were still on. “We would like to covert heritage buildings into state-of-the-art, world-class hotels in India. We are also looking for similar properties in Mumbai and Delhi,” Kuah said.
The company is also interested in constructing service apartments in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore and has appointed Delhi-based real estate consultants Land Solutions (India) Ltd to create a land bank for their proposed projects. According to Jain of Land Solutions, the company already has a land bank of 10,000 acres across India.
Jain said that company intended to invest $100 million in India for its commercial and residential projects.
