Data is precious, and so is the hard disk where it is securely tucked in. But what if we have to carry it around? Small data of few GBs can be transferred in pendrives, but if the data is in hundreds of gigabytes, then you require an external and portable hard disk. Buffalo of Japan has launched such a drive called ‘MiniStation’ portable USB hard drive in India recently. It is compact, and comes equipped with Buffalo’s proprietary ‘BumperBody’ shock absorber.

The MiniStation is as small as your passport, only a little thicker. There it has an integrated flat USB2 Cable.

You can store, back up or transport digital files with full disk encryption for ‘Windows’ to protect data from unauthorised access. The software ‘TurboUSB’ increases the data transfer speed. Compatible with both PC and Mac, it’s available in two capacities: 320 GB and 500 GB.

Most of the music phones available now include a rather mediocre headsets as ‘inbox’ accessories, fit only for calls and not music. Logitech’s ‘MetroFi 200v’ is designed to enthral the listener with accurate music reproduction and dynamic sound quality.

The in-ear design is combined with the hands-free convenience for use with any music phone with 3.5 mm jack socket with full voice functionality. A miniature high performance microphone allows for hands-free phone calls and an in-line multi-function button answers and ends calls and controls music/video on iPhone and Blackberry.

‘MetroFi 200v’ include three sets of soft silicone ear tips and one set of dual flange silicone ear tips as well as a stylish hard carrying case. These silicone tips provide passive noise cancellation. Boasting a frequency response of 10 Hz to 20,000 kHz, ‘MetroFi 200v’ earphones can be used with any iPod, MP3 player or laptop.
