FCS sets up development centre in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Aug 25 : The US-based Frontline Consulting Services Inc. (FCS), engaged in designs, development, marketing of enterprise applications and products for meeting the critical requirements of businesses, is looking at expanding in the Asia-Pacific region. The company has set up its development centre in Hyderabad to work on high-end solutions targeting the manufacturing, retail, healthcare and insurance verticals. Some of the products developed by the company include end-to-end ERP for the SMB industry and solutions for aerospace, paper and wood industry.

The other areas of interest by the company include clean technology solutions for energy conservation, open source solutions for business intelligence (BI) in manufacturing, healthcare and insurance verticals. The company has partnered with leaders like Oracle Corporation, NCR, Software Ag, IBM, Microsoft Corporation, Rockwell Automation and niche players like Hershey's, Incuity and Azul Systems.

Incidentally, FCS has an exclusive partnership with Rockwell Automation for the Tata's Singur project for manufacturing Nano car. The partnership is to develop intelligence systems for generating data on manufacturing and dashboards, or in other words, enterprise manufacturing intelligence from the shop floor to make informed business decisions. FCS, being the implementation partner, has developed the whole production managements system for the Singur project which is already hosted on the server though yet to be deployed.

According to Vikram Takru, VP, the company is looking to increase its headcount from 250 to 1,000 people in the next three years in Hyderabad. ''We would be increasing our focus in the Indian market with products targeted for the manufacturing, retail, public sector and higher education,'' he said adding that the company has already invested over $1 million for the infrastructure and related activities.
