New Delhi, January 20:: World telecom giant Vodafone's CEO Arun Sarin allayed theories about global companies facing troubles operating in India and said his company is eyeing a 100 million subscriber base in the country by 2010.

"The experience in India has been very good. India is on a roll and we are happy to be rolling with India," Sarin said.

The company has set an ambition of getting 100 million subscribers by 2010, he said. It currently has a subscriber base of 14 million.

Sarin was speaking at a function at IIT here attended by UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

He further said the Vodafone deal was cleared in three months time and added that contrary to the impression that it is difficult to do business here, there are a lot of things which are easy in the country as compared to the rest of the world.

He cited the example of other countries asking for air-conditioning in cellphone sites and said there was no such condition here, with the towers working fine as well.
