Congress will insult SP again: Chautala

Cracks appeared in the UNPA on Saturday with Om Prakash Chautala-led INLD seeking to distance itself from the Samajwadi Party's decision to support the UPA on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

"Congress has insulted them (SP) earlier...now for the third consecutive time, they wanted to be insulted. It is their own thinking," Chautala said in New Delhi.

The former Haryana Chief Minister said that the INLD is the "strongest opposer" of the nuclear deal and was worried "about the fact of becoming a slave of America".

"When the UPA came to power, these people (SP) supported them despite bearing humiliation. They were also running the Government in Uttar Pradesh with the support of the Congress," he said.

The Congress has "insulted them earlier and will insult them once again". The UNPA had on July 3 decided to seek expert opinion on the nuclear deal before finalising their opinion about the agreement.

However, after a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and former president A P J Abdul Kalam, the Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh changed their stand saying the deal was in the national interest.

It is strange that INLD leader Om Parkash Chautala, himself being a spent force is now making all sorts of predictions about the Samajwadi party getting a raw deal from the congress party in future. Irrespective, whether the SP leaders, Mulayam Singh yadav and Amar Singh took a right or wrong decision in siding with the ruling UPA government over the Indo-US nuclear deal, one thing is certain that the legless UNPA's survival is now at stake. Indo-US nuclear deal being in the best interests of our country, deserves unflinching support from all political parties, sinking individual differnces.

By the way, Mr.Chautala has ZERO MPs. So he is free to oppose the deal in his private bathroom and raise a stink there.

Although most of the political class in India is known to be slippery Mulayam Singh Yadav has no principles whatsoever. Only other person who gets anywhere near him is Mayawatti. Nuclear power generation is dangerous route to follow. But if India is going to go up the nuclear path then it should have its own independent programme. Becoming dependent upon Americans or any other nation can turn out to be very expensive and unreliable in the long run, they are only in it for exploitation.

Mr.Chautala should know that "SP" has neither respect nor conscience therefore any insult has no meaning for M/s Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh. It is better for UNPA that a rotten apple (SP)is out from the basket.

Chautala may well be right about Congress will again insult SP.So what? Both are unprincipalled parties, just like his INLD ,the BSP
