New Delhi, Aug 26 : As the ruling JD(U) and the Opposition RJD are engaged in a blame-game over the flood situation in Bihar, the BJP, also a partner in the ruling alliance asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to treat the flood situation as ‘‘a national calamity.’’ The party also asked the Centre to take up the issue of breach in the course of river Kosi with Nepal.

‘‘A three kilometre barrage over the Kosi river in Nepal is damaged. We demand that the PMO should intervene in the matter and take up the issue with the Nepal government to save Bihar from further flood devastation,’’ BJP leader Ravi Shanker Prasad told reporters here.
