Sunday , May 11, 2008 at 2049 hrs I have received lots of advice from my parents, teachers, friends, business associates, et al. One that really stands out is from my friend Sheetal after she saw my experience at cabin crew training academies and suggested that I start an academy of my own.
In fact, it was a string of tips that opened my mind to a business world I always wanted to be a part of. A well-known marketing professional, Sheetal started with advising me to build goodwill among people and providing them quality at competitive prices. It could apply to a customer or any other associate.
She further advised me to be transparent in my dealings with others, as it would have a rub-off effect on people directly associated with my organisation. Then there were tips to focus on deliverables and provide what has been promised. Another interesting tip was to meet at least two to three people daily, as it helps one in getting fresh ideas and be better networked.
