Badal wants suicide cases in farm survey

Chandigarh: Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has directed the state financial commissioner (development) to also get the cases of suicides committed by the farm labour included in the ongoing survey conducted by the Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.

Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union had urged the CM to include these cases of suicides by the farm labour alongwith the farmers in the survey of PAU to study the possible cause of suicides in the agriculture sector.
