Mumbai, September 15: : Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, the biggest telecom service provider in the country and Cable&Wireless, a global telecom player have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for sharing of networks and other telecom infrastructure.
As per the announcement made here today, while Cable&Wireless would support BSNL to expand its global network, BSNL in turn would enable Cable&Wireless to leverage its extensive network in India.
A press note said that both the companies would also offer each other a full suite of telecom services including basic and leased line services, virtual private networks, internet, mobile and broadband services on a preferred client basis.
The press note, quoting BSNL Chairman Kuldeep Goyal, said that the company has plans to invest USD 10 billion on network expansion over the next three years.
