



Kolkata, Apr 22: The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) is organising an education fair at the Netaji Indoor Stadium from April 25 in association with the International School of Business, an institutional member of the chamber.
The three-day fair would have "counselling sessions on media, law, fashion designing, hospitality, business management, travel & tourism, engineering and IT-enabled services, among other professional and vocational courses," said Khokan Mookerji, secretary general of the BCCI.
"We are investing around Rs 40 lakh for this fair and expecting 10,000 footfalls," Mookerji said. "Especially, higher secondary students, who will be deciding on their careers in a year or two, are expected to visit the fair," he added.
Around 40 institutions are particiapting, of which 35 are Kolkata based. The British Council, the Franklyn Institute of Language, the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management, HCL, the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Flying Cats, the Air Hostess Training School will also be taking part.
Eminent personalities like fashion designer Sarbari Dutta and corporate public relations expert Rita Bhimani will be present in the fair and will extend their suggestions and advices to the students.
