The Prime Minister of the Tibetan government-in-exile, Dr Lobsang Sangay, has asserted that democracy is the key institutional mechanism through which Tibet can gain genuine autonomy within China. Delivering a public lecture organised by the Jindal School of International Affairs at the Sonipat-based OP Jindal Global University, Dr Sangay argued that the model example of democracy in exile that the Tibetan refugee community in India had developed under the leadership of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the template that could be an acceptable political solution to the Tibetan cause in China. He praised India’s democratic traditions and said that the Tibetan government-in-exile had been inspired to follow these.

GIBS holds global conference called “India’s Emergence in Global Scenario”
Gitarattan International Business School, New Delhi, held a global conference from January 12-14 on the theme “India’s Emergence in Global Scenario”. Prof Dilip K Bandyopadhyay, vice-chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, inaugurated the event. The conference concluded with the valedictory address by SPS Bakshi, chairman and managing director, Engineering Projects India Ltd.
