



Hyderabad Nov 13 : Apache Footwear Ltd, an authorised manufacturer of Adidas sports shoes, is planning to bring in the second round of investment into its existing sector-specific SEZ for footwear near Tada in Nellore.
According to official sources, the company is now planning to invest Rs 500 crore to expand its existing facility. The proposed expansion will be completed in the next three to six months period, sources added.
The company had invested Rs 500 crore in the project, providing employment to over 4,000 local artisans, officials said. It had established a capacity to produce one million pairs of shoes per month, they added.
The company has developed a world-class manufacturing facility on a 314-acre site, which was leased by the government as a sector-specific special economic zone (SEZ) for footwear with all infrastructure facilities.
