Bangalore, Mar 24 : To address the talent shortage in the IT industry and to help companies improve their utilization rates, outsourcing and consulting services firm Ambletek Solutions has launched a new model - People Supply Chain - that will provide a captive bench on demand. Ambletek will hire and deploy 1,000 people in 2008 and plans to double it next year, the company said here on Monday.
The plan is to hire about 1,000 resources for the period April 08- March 09 and then scale up to 5,000 resources by December 2010. The captive bench will be deployed with large IT companies on projects for a pre-agreed duration.
Under the model, Ambletek will provide captive bench on various technologies like SAP, Oracle Apps and IBM MQ.
"Our new People Supply Chain model will allow large IT companies to reduce project overheads, increase their staff utilization and reduce their bench and training costs and eventually Ambletek can be a 7,500 strong organization in three years from now and aim to have at least 15% of the IT companies staff to be on our pay rolls," founder-CEO Kannan Ramaswamy said.
The new model was launched after Ambletek acquired Bangalore-based IT staffing company ASAP Infosystems. "ASAP Infosystems currently have close to 100 consultants on projects working with biggies such as Satyam, TCS etc," director Suresh said.
